Recently, racism has once again become a “hot topic” in American. Americans are abuzz about the recent police shootings - the 92 year old woman shot in her home in Georgia, and the 23 year old groom shot by police just hours before his wedding.

Although an investigation will have to be done in both cases to determine whether the police were justified or not, many Americans have already drawn their own conclusion. One’s life experience will be a huge factor in determining one’s perception/conclusion in these matters.

Shocked, astonished, apalled are just some of the words that describe my reaction when I heard about the release of O.J. Simpsons book - If I Did It. The premise behind the book is simply this - if I (O.J.) would have murdered my ex-wife and Ron Goldman, here is “hypothetically” how I would have done it. Insane - another word that describes my reaction.

Maybe it is the personality of an athlete - to always fight to be the “winner” or the one who ends up on top. Perhaps this is O.J. Simpsons’ attempt at once again being perceived as a “winner”. O.J., a word of advice, I doubt that this book will help with that. “Above anything else, I hate to lose.” Jackie Robinson
